What Are the Working Grow a Garden 2 Codes, and Why Do Most Lists Get Them Wrong?

6 min read

Grow a Garden 2 is currently the most played game on Roblox, with over 500,000 concurrent players. It also has one of the most confused code situations of any big Roblox game, because a very similarly named game exists and the two share nothing at all.

Here are the codes that actually work, verified on August 3, 2026.

All working Grow a Garden 2 codes

CodeReward
TEAMGREENBEAN3x Green Bean Seed
WATERYOPLANTS10x Common Watering Can
REMEMBERTODRINKWATER1x Common Watering Can

That is the complete list. Three codes, all confirmed across multiple independent gaming outlets with identical spelling and rewards.

Two things worth knowing about this list:

  • Each code is single-use per account. A second attempt returns an "already redeemed" message.
  • The game's recent big updates did not come with codes. The Aurora Event, Strawberry Sniper and Fall Harvest updates all shipped without one, so do not assume every patch brings a new code.

One minor discrepancy exists in the sources: a single outlet lists WATERYOPLANTS as giving one watering can rather than ten. The majority say ten, which would make eleven cans across both watering codes.

How to redeem codes in Grow a Garden 2

  1. Finish the tutorial first. The code box stays locked until you do, which catches a lot of new players.
  2. Click the gear icon in the top-left corner of the screen to open Settings. On PC, pressing L opens the same menu; on mobile and tablet there is no shortcut, so tap the gear.
  3. Scroll to the Redeem Codes panel at the bottom of Settings, below the two volume sliders, and click the field labelled "Enter code here…".
  4. Type or paste the code, then press the green Claim! button, or Enter.
  5. The reward lands in your inventory immediately.

Settings opens on the volume sliders — the code box is the panel underneath them.

There are no other requirements. You do not need a minimum account age, a level, or group membership.

Expired Grow a Garden 2 codes

There are none yet. The game launched in June 2026 and no code has been retired so far, which is unusual and worth stating plainly rather than padding this section out.

This matters because if a code is failing, it is almost certainly not because it expired. Work through the next section instead.

Why your code isn't working

In rough order of how often each one is the culprit:

  1. You are using a code from the original Grow a Garden. This is by far the most common cause and it is covered properly in the next section.
  2. Capitalisation. The codes are uppercase and the game checks exactly.
  3. A stray space. Copy-pasting from a website often picks up a leading or trailing space.
  4. Already redeemed on that account. One use each, permanently.
  5. The code is too new for your server. A freshly published code can take a while to propagate. Leave the game and rejoin to land on a fresh server, then try again.
  6. You skipped the tutorial. The Settings code box will not be there.

Note that the developer does not announce expiry dates, so a code can stop working with no warning. If one of the three above fails for you on a fresh server with correct capitalisation, it has most likely just been retired.

Is Grow a Garden 2 the same game as Grow a Garden?

No, and getting this wrong is why most players' codes fail.

Despite the name, the two are separate games built by different studios, which is verifiable from their Roblox group ownership:

The original Grow a Garden was the game that set an industry concurrent-player record of 22,346,725 in August 2025. Grow a Garden 2 is a different team's game that arrived a year later and now sits at the top of the Roblox charts on its own merits.

Whether the two are officially connected has never been clarified by either studio or by Roblox. What is verifiable, and what actually matters here, is that they are run by different groups and share nothing functionally. Codes do not cross over in either direction. If you found a list mixing both games together, that list is wrong.

Where new codes are actually announced

The official Discord server is the primary channel, with codes posted in the announcements and FAQ channels. The Strawberreh Squad Roblox group is the secondary one.

As for timing, there is no fixed schedule. Observed so far: one code at launch in June, two more on July 3, and nothing new in the month since. Codes tend to follow major updates, seasonal events, holidays and player milestones rather than a regular cadence.

What Grow a Garden 2 actually is

If you are arriving from a code search without having played it: you buy seeds from a shop, plant them, wait for them to grow (including while you are offline), then harvest and sell for Sheckles. There is a guild system and weekly rewards on top.

The mechanic that distinguishes it from every other farming game on Roblox is that stealing opens up at night. Other players can raid your garden, which is why the game has defensive weapons, including a Mythic-tier Strawberry Sniper. The codes above feed straight into that loop: seeds to plant, watering cans to speed growth.

At the time of writing it holds around 505,000 concurrent players and 1.5 billion visits, which makes it the single most played experience on the platform.

For anything beyond codes, browsing Roblox accounts or the in-game currency category is the usual next step, though codes remain the only way to get these particular items for free.
